Hi, I’m Shannon
Welcome to Not Another Mother Runner.
For most of my life, I’ve struggled with my weight. I’ve had the ups and downs, the diets, the fresh starts, and more than a few “I’ll start again Monday” moments.
Last year, something changed.
I looked at myself in the mirror and realized I couldn’t keep doing the same thing and expecting my life to somehow change on its own. I needed to make a change, not just for myself, but for my family.
The truth hit me pretty hard: if I didn’t start taking better care of myself, there could come a day when I wouldn’t be here for the people I love.
That was something I couldn’t ignore.
So I decided to start making changes. Not some overnight transformation. Not a crash diet or a promise to become a completely different person by next month. I wanted to make real, sustainable changes that could become part of my life.
And somewhere along the way, Not Another Mother Runner was born.
Why I Started This Blog
This blog is my place to document the journey, the good days, the bad days, the victories, the setbacks, and everything in between.
I want to share what I’m doing, what’s working for me, what definitely isn’t working, and what I’m learning along the way.
I’m not a fitness expert. I’m not a nutritionist. I’m not someone who has everything figured out.
I’m just Shannon.
A mom trying to become healthier, stronger, and hopefully stick around for a very long time.
If sharing my journey inspires even one other person who’s been staring into their own mirror thinking, “Something needs to change,” then putting all of this out there will be worth it.
This isn’t about becoming perfect.
It’s about becoming better than I was yesterday.
One choice, one workout, one meal, and one mile at a time.
Real miles. Real mom. No filter.
Welcome to my journey.
