If you’re new here, you’re joining me right in the middle of something big.
I’m currently on Day 44 of my 70-Day Challenge.
Since Not Another Mother Runner is brand new, you didn’t get to see Days 1 through 43 unfold here. Rather than trying to recreate more than a month of the journey, I’m starting right where I am.
And right now, that’s Day 44.
Why 70 Days?
I wanted something that would push me outside of my comfort zone while giving me a clear goal to work toward.
Seventy days.
Not forever. Not “until I lose X pounds.” Not some vague promise that I’m going to start being healthier.
70 days with a finish line.
For these 70 days, I’ve committed myself to a set of daily rules:
- 45+ minutes of exercise
- 50 sit-ups every day
- Drink one gallon of water
- Stay in a calorie deficit
- Read 10 pages
- Track my progress with photos and measurements
The point isn’t to be perfect. It’s to prove to myself that I can set a difficult goal and actually stick with it.
Some days are easier than others. Some days I’m motivated and ready to go. Other days I’d probably rather argue with a brick wall than work out.
Those are probably the days that matter the most.
Why I’m Sharing It
Part of starting this blog was about holding myself accountable.
It’s easy to talk about changing. It’s easy to make plans. It’s even pretty easy to get excited on Day 1.
Day 44 is different.
By Day 44, the excitement of starting something new is long gone. Now it’s about consistency, discipline, and remembering why I started in the first place.
That’s the part of this journey I really want to share.
The good workouts. The terrible workouts. The days I crush my goals and the days when simply checking the boxes feels like an accomplishment.
Because that’s real life.
Starting Tomorrow: Day 45
So this is where the blog catches up with the challenge.
Today is Day 44.
Starting with Day 45, I’ll be blogging about each day of the challenge all the way through Day 70.
That’s 26 more days to push myself, test my limits, and prove that I can finish what I started.
I don’t expect every day to be exciting.
I don’t expect every day to be easy.
But I do intend to finish.
Day 44 down. Day 45, I’m coming for you.
Real miles. Real mom. No filter.
