Not Another Mother Runner

REAL MILES, REAL MOM, NO FILTER

Day 69 is DONE!

I missed the update yesterday, but I definitely didn’t miss the workout.

And now there is only…

ONE. MORE. DAY.

It’s kind of crazy seeing that written out.

Yesterday wasn’t nearly as chaotic as some of my recent days. I got done with work and was actually looking forward to heading to the park and getting some miles in.

Then I got home.

And it started raining.

Because apparently making a workout plan is the quickest way to get Mother Nature involved. πŸ˜‚

Fine, Treadmill It Is

The park was officially out, but that didn’t mean the workout was.

So I hopped on the treadmill and knocked out a 3-mile run.

I’ve definitely learned throughout this challenge that sometimes you just have to adjust the plan.

Can’t run at the park?

Run on the treadmill.

Not feeling your normal workout?

Find something different.

The important part is to keep moving.

Three miles down, but I wasn’t finished yet.

Time for Gravl πŸ’ͺ

After my 3-mile treadmill run, I wasn’t finished yet.

It was time to open Gravl and get my strength workout in.

Today’s workout included:

Air Squats

  • 38 reps
  • 38 reps
  • 38 reps
  • 38 reps

That’s 152 air squats. Because apparently my legs hadn’t done enough after running three miles. πŸ˜‚

Kettlebell Alternating Row – 20 lbs

  • 12 reps
  • 14 reps
  • 12 reps

Push-Ups

  • 5 reps
  • 5 reps
  • 5 reps
  • 5 reps

Dumbbell Bicep Curls – 10 lbs

  • 12 reps
  • 11 reps
  • 12 reps
  • 12 reps

Mountain Climbers

  • 12 reps

Alternating Heel Touches

  • 11 reps
  • 11 reps
  • 10 reps
  • 10 reps

By the time everything was finished, I had knocked out a 3-mile treadmill run followed by an hour of strength training.

After struggling to find my motivation over the last several days, this one felt different.

I’m finally starting to feel like I’m getting back into my groove.

And with only one day left…

The timing couldn’t be better.

One More Day

There were definitely moments recently when I was tired of this challenge.

I didn’t want to work out.

I couldn’t find the motivation.

I even missed a day and had to add an extra day to finish what I started.

But I kept going.

And now?

69 days are complete.

There is only ONE workout standing between me and finishing this challenge.

Tomorrow isn’t about setting some crazy PR or doing the hardest workout I’ve ever done.

It’s about finishing something I committed to doing.

And I cannot wait to type these words:

70/70.

But we’re not there quite yet.

Day 69 complete. 1 DAY TO GO. πŸ’ͺ🩷

Real miles. Real mom. No filter.
